Overview

We’re all familiar with dialogues with colleagues, leaders, or other (business) partners that go something like this: You explain a situation, a thought, or an idea, and the other person responds with: “Yes, that’s true, but…” or “I totally understand you, but my opinion is…” or even “Yeah, I get it, you just need to…” Ouch!

Instead of truly listening and understanding what is being said, we have learned to react quickly, form an opinion in a flash, and immediately offer advice or a solution. Such behavior seems to align with the spirit of the times: everything must happen as quickly and efficiently as possible. However, these hasty reactions and attempts at solutions often increase the communication effort and can even lead to conflicts. This is the opposite of efficient communication!

Active listening in meetings with colleagues, during customer interactions, or in conversations with employees requires attention, genuine interest, and the right technique. When done effectively, it fosters a deeper understanding of the other person, enabling an empathetic and focused exchange.
Listening typically leads to better decisions and more successful collaboration. Only when the thoughts and motivations behind ideas, attitudes, and actions are understood can the right solutions be developed. It is only through effective listening that true connection and alignment are achieved.

This is how you train “Extreme Listening”

In the “Extreme Listening” training, we focus on significantly improving participants’ listening skills and techniques – in a highly practical way! Participants learn how active listening works and apply it in numerous conversation simulations until it truly “clicks” and feels natural. To achieve this, participants receive constructive feedback from the trainer and the group. The training also imparts the ability to use body language purposefully, ensuring participants are perceived as authentic and attentive listeners.
